REDFOX Sinks Its Teeth into Philippine Cinema History

The bright lights, drum rolls, and trophies – those aren’t only for actors. Last December 10, 2011, at the National Commission for Culture and Arts in Intramuros, REDFOX became a part of the rich local showbiz tradition as it was among the many sponsors of the 59th Film Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards.

REDFOX had the privilege of watching big names like Albert Martinez, John Lloyd Cruz, and Nora Aunor make their way onstage to receive their awards and say a few words. Making the night more memorable for REDFOX was its acknowledgment during the event's closing ceremony.

It may have been a long and tiring evening, but it did not matter to REDFOX. By sponsoring this year's FAMAS, REDFOX got the chance to witness every showbiz icon's crowning glory. But more importantly, even just for one night, REDFOX had the honor of sinking its teeth into Philippine cinema history.

REDFOX Extends a Generous Paw

It’s such a pain to see very young children experience poverty. They can’t enjoy the finer things in life like going to school and eating good food. The fact that those with something to offer do not help makes things even more depressing. Fortunately, REDFOX, one of the country’s premiere IT companies, has recently made a conscious effort to put a smile on these impoverished kids’ faces.

As part of its humanitarianism, REDFOX participated in the Microsoft Employees and Partners Volunteer Day last December 2, 2011, at the Microsoft office in Makati City. The event was organized to make the less privileged youngsters feel loved and forget about their condition. Besides donating rice, notebooks, and ball pens, REDFOX joined the kids in fun-filled activities like story-telling, face painting, coloring, and miniature golf and basketball.

The increasing number of uneducated, homeless, and hungry children is no joke. REDFOX is among those institutions that have taken notice and action. As long as the cries of the less fortunate youngsters fill the streets and orphanages, REDFOX, whether emotionally or financially, is more than willing to extend a generous paw.

REDFOX: The Future Looks Super

Since 1988, REDFOX has been carving a name for itself in the Philippine IT industry. Fast forward to 13 years later, and REDFOX has not only become one of the industry giants, but one of the super brands as well.

Last Thursday, December 1, 2011, at the Elks Lodge of the American Chamber of Commerce in Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, REDFOX, together with 26 other local companies, received the Superbrands Philippines’ Choice award for its outstanding efforts in the market. Making REDFOX’s achievement sweeter is its inclusion in Volume VII of the Superbrands Philippines book.

As long as it is standing, REDFOX will continue with its aggressive and competitive marketing strategies. Thus, it is safe to say that for REDFOX, the future not only looks fierce, but super as well.

In Manny's Corner

Manny Pacquiao has proven to be a great champion by taking down numerous fighters with excellent credentials. But even champions need help, especially when up against a powerful foe such as poverty. The pound-for-pound king has found an ally in IT industry champion, RedFox.

Last Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the Fontana Hot Spring Leisure Park, the boxing icon, along with other golfers, participated in an event named The Champ's Swing: Manny Pacquiao-Fontana Invitational Golf Tournament. This was for the benefit of the Pacquiao Partnership for the Poor Foundation.

Among the sponsors was RedFox, which provided the hardware for the registration. It also gave two Razor laptops as raffle prizes. Adding color to the festivities were the top four Miss Earth candidates, who assisted in distributing the people's champion's things during the auction for charity.

Every Filipino has supported Pacquiao in all of his in-ring fights. But not all have shown the same amount of support in his attempt to knock out poverty. RedFox is one of those selected few who support him in both battles. Whether it's a fight against Floyd Mayweather or against poverty, RedFox can proudly say that it will always be in Manny's corner.

Another Change in Color

Last November 23 to 24, 2011, RedFox sponsored the 2011 Miss Earth beauty pageant held in Tarlac, in which Miss Venezuela won the Long Gown Competition and was named Miss RedFox. Two nights later, the candidates visited RedFox’s Dona Hemady office for an elegant dinner and some photo sessions. Last Saturday, December 3, 2011, RedFox renewed its partnership with Miss Earth by sponsoring the coronation night held at the UP Diliman Theater.

RedFox provided its Optima laptops that were used to judge the competition, which was eventually won by Miss Ecuador, followed by Miss Brazil, our very own Miss Philippines, and Miss RedFox herself, Miss Venezuela. During the course of the night, RedFox also gave away eight of its Razor laptops.

Things don’t often change colors, and twice or thrice for that matter. But when it concerns our planet, RedFox, which has gone green in the past, is more than willing to undergo another change in color.
