Technology is considered as man's best ally. It has brought about a lot of progress. Health, transportation, education, and business have all improved drastically because of the various innovations. A world without technology would be a very difficult place to live in.
However, technology has also become humankind's worst enemy. The pollution we experience everyday, the 911 bombing, and the unhealthy addiction a lot of us have developed for the internet result from advancements in technology.
Just as technology has allowed us to flourish, so to has it led us to suffer. It's rather strange but true that we need technology, but can't stand it at the same time. Throughout its existence, technology has certainly become both a friend and foe to us.

Technology: Imperfection Innovated
At first glance, technology is everything everyone has always dreamed of. Their lives have drastically improved because of it, and it seems as if nothing can ever go wrong. Unfortunately, that is the complete opposite of the truth.
Despite everything it has done for mankind, technology is far from perfect. In fact, it has also created a lot of headaches. Cars running out of gas, computers shutting down unexpectedly, and cellphones losing signal highlight technology's imperfections.
The inconsistencies all gadgets show further prove that nothing in this world is perfect. Technology, in all its glory, is only an advanced version of living things, and is just as imperfect as they are. To put it shortly, technology is simply imperfection innovated.

REDFOX Supports Manny Many Prizes in Fulfilling Dreams
REDFOX, a global Filipino hardware brand, believes in redefining lives and widening horizons through technological innovation. Recently, it had another chance to demonstrate this through its renewed partnership with Manny Pacquiao as one of the sponsors of his weekly game show Manny Many Prizes last May 5, 2012, at the San Andres Bukid Sports Complex.
This particular episode witnessed the heart-warming tale of an 11-year old boy named Leandro Salva, the 4th child of 9 siblings. He wrote to one of the show's segments called Dear Ninong in order to give his disabled father, Zaldy, a small business that can help them rise above poverty. His mother was doing laundry to augment the family's income. The eldest had to stop schooling to help his family. The second child, on the other hand, who wanted to become a teacher someday, had to find a job so that she can pursue her studies on her own.
Despite this, Leandro never gave up. He was a consistent honor student even though he had to go to school on an empty stomach. At an early age he knew that he had to do something for the family. Being a hardworking honor student, little Leandro's situation caught the attention of the people behind REDFOX. Wanting to make a difference in little Leandro's life, REDFOX gave the Salvas a Vengeance desktop set. The desktop, complete with a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers, is meant to be used by Leandro and his siblings to further their education. Leandro, an incoming grade 5 student, wanted to be a doctor someday so that he can help their family uplift their lives.
REDFOX hopes that little Leandro is already turning his brand new desktop on and dreaming bigger dreams. REDFOX believes that technology can transform education in the country.
Through its educational products and tie-ups with the educational sector, REDFOX tries to do its part in integrating technological tools into Philippine classrooms. On top of the list is the Wizboard, an interactive whiteboard complete with teaching applications. The upcoming launch of REDFOX's newest product, the Razor Ultrabook, was also announced during the show.
The Manny Many Prizes team also gave the Salva family clothes, toys, cellphones, school supplies, standard appliances, Php 20,000 worth of groceries, and Php 60,000 to start their own business.

Technology: A Good Problem to Have
Technology has solved a lot of the world's problems. Complicated diseases have been cured, people can get to their destinations faster and more comfortably, and communication is stronger than ever. However, technology has also caused many conflicts. Fortunately, those conflicts aren't bad at all.
Thanks to technology, people are given a ton of options to choose from. Today, people can either travel by car, plane, or ship that they find it hard to make up their minds. But this is definitely better than having to walk to a particular place. The same concern arises in communication. People can get in touch with others through phone, email, instant messaging, and social media. Those seemingly endless choices drive them crazy. But they would rather lose their minds deciding than not interacting with their family and friends at all.
Although there are a lot of headaches that come with technology, people still embrace it with open arms. For them, technology's pros outweigh the cons. To put it simply, technology is indeed a problem, but a good problem to have at that.

An Endless Quest for Techknowledge
Times today are much different compared to times before. In the past, people could already survive as long as they knew how to read and write. That doesn't work anymore. To make it in this world these days, people need to possess certain technological skills.
Individuals who can operate various gadgets properly can make their lives much easier. Therefore, a lot of people make it a point to explore the features of different innovations. By doing so, they can write reports on Tablet PC's instead of papers, hold meetings online and not in the office, or download their favorite books' electronic versions instead of buying and carrying actual copies.
Technology is definitely capable of lightening the load on every person's shoulders. They don't have to exert that much effort and can still produce outstanding results. It's for this very reason that tech-savvy people perform their tasks faster and more efficiently. Thus, it's no surprise to see many people embark on an endless quest for techknowledge.

Getting an E-ducation
Today's quality of education keeps getting better. Teachers are more prepared with their lectures, and students are more active in class. This marked improvement is credited to the fact that schools have become tech-savvy.
Gone are the days of teachers using chalks, markers, and illustration boards to teach. They can now conduct sessions using a PC, laptop, or projector. This gives them the power to come up with creative and interactive lessons that stimulate interest and attention from students. Meanwhile, students no longer have to buy expensive and heavy books to ace their schoolwork. Everything they need to know can be found on the internet and in e-books which can be downloaded for free via lightweight Tablet PC's.
The area of education has a very bright future ahead of it. People can pass down and receive knowledge more effectively. This positive trend leads many people to believe that the key to a better tomorrow is getting an e-ducation.
